Portsea Backbeach

My nostalgia for Australia continues. Today I painted this painting of one of the “back beaches“ of Sorrento where I went as a child. We would nag mum all morning to take us.
I remember the excitement of arriving at the beach. Salad rolls, boston bun and lemon cordial in an esky. Peeling myself off the vinyl seat of the Kingswood and fighting over who carried what with my sisters. Hot and grumpy we couldn’t wait to get into the waves.
